Mr. Ahmadu Fonting Tigana, th man who double as the agent for both Frank Etouga Mbella formerly of Asante Kotoko and Junior Karba of Hearts of Oak has disclosed some information to all Ghanaian football lovers especially fans of Hearts of Oak about recent happenings regarding the contract and welfare of Junior Karba.

Junior Karba was signed by the management of Hearts of Oak in September 2020, when Samuel Boadu was the head coach, however, with the arrival of the Serbian tactician Slavko Matic, the striker has been declared as surplus to requirement and is having issues with the gaffer, which has necessitated for his contract termination.

In an interview with Akoma Fm 87.9, Mr. Tigana started by insisting that, Junior Karba is currently in Ghana and is in fine health. He disregarded the highly rumoured insecurity claims made by the Ghanaian media about the player.

“Junior Karba is in Ghana and still a player of Hearts of Oak, he is perfectly fine, the management of Hearts of Oak are taking very good care of him. His apartment was robbed and he lost his phones and some few items, besides he has no security problems” Mr. Tigana said.

Regarding the termination of the players contract, he addressed that there have being issues and he is handling it professionally with the management of Hearts of Oak.

“Hearts of Oak spent lots of money in the transfer of Karba from Cameroun to Ghana. He scored a couple of goals during pre season ans was doing very with their former coach.

“When the new coach came in, he clearly showed glimpses of not liking karba, on the coach’s first day at training, he told Karba to go and train with the physical trainer. He never liked the player and had verbal exchanges with him.

“The Coach insulted Karba, assaulted him and tore his jersey at the training grounds, after he recovered from injury.

Regarding the termination of Junior Karba’s contract, the manager said it is currently being discussed and the player shall be released by the management of Hearts of Oak. He stated that the management of Hearts of Oak will pay six months salary for to the player as compensation.

“Am the one calling for the termination of Junior Karba’s contract because the coach did not want him. I cannot take Hearts of Oak to Court of Arbitrattion for Sports because they have spent huge amount of money in the transfer of the player from Cameroun to Ghana.

“I will sit amicably with the management and negotiate for the termination of the contract. We have come to agreement and Hearts will pay the player his six months salary and release him” , Tigana added.

The player is alleged to be earning a total of $5000 in Ghana. According to his manager, he has contract offers from Mozambique and Libya.
