Frank Mbella Etouga Thierry, the Cameroonian import leads the Ghana goal king race with 21 goals currently. He has attracted offers from big clubs in Europe including Atletico Madrid, Seville and Getafe. He is also said to be monitored by South African side Kaizer Chiefs. He joined Asante Kotoko with an agent named Oliviee, who happens to be an International agent and a friend of the Chief Executive Officer of the club.
Today an interesting scene seem to emanate from the camp of one agent called Amadou Fontem Tigana who has touched down on the shores of Ghana and it’s claiming ownership of the player. According to an interview Mr. Tigana granted of Angel 102.5 Fm, he is the original agent for Mbella and he made arrangement with Mr. Olivee to to release the player to play for Kotoko.
He said Royal Scout Management which he owns released Mbella so that he could come and play for Kotoko.
Despite Kotoko paying money to Mr. Olivee, Mr. Tijana claims he has not received a single dollar from Kotoko.
He has therefore come to Ghana to meet with management of Asante Kotoko as several clubs are chasing the player for his services.
He stated that they want the best for Mbella as he is young and very talented. Management of Asante Kotoko are yet to comment on this development.
