The minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection and the member of Parliament for the Dome Kwabenya Constituency, Hon Sarah Adwoa Sarfo who was sumouned as part of the three members of parliaments to appear before the Privileges on 14th June failed to do so, triggering a response from the priviledge committee that they are going to publish her summons on all media platforms to alert the minister that she houkd present herself to the committee.
The minister was supposed to appear before the committee to explain to them why she has absented herself from the house for more than 15 working days without permission, as stated by the Constitution fo Ghana.
As part of the three members who were reported by the speaker of Parliament to the committee, the two other members being Hon Kennedy Agyapong, the Mp for Assin Central and Hon Henry Quartey, the Regional Minister of Accra and MP for Ayawaso Central are to report before the committee on 15th June.
According to the Chairman of the committee, if the Hon Adwo Safo fails to report before the committee after publishing of her summons in the media, the committee will go ahead and report to the plenary for consideration.
